The general field of immunology and immunopathology corresponds to the expertise of NovImmune scientists and external partners. The drug development strategy of NovImmune is therefore primarily focused on immune-related mechanisms and immune-related disorders.
This concerns a wide variety of therapeutic areas, ranging from autoimmune diseases (such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes and Psoriasis, Crohn’s Disease) to inflammation in general and organ transplantation (immunosuppression).
This field is not only characterized by chronic diseases that represent very large markets, but also by drugs that address multiple different diseases, all related to similar immunopathological mechanisms, including T-lymphocytes, macrophages, cell migration, chemotaxis or inflammatory cytokines.
