NI-0501 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds specifically and selectively to the human cytokine, interferon gamma (IFN-γ), with high affinity and inhibits the interaction of IFN-γ with its cognate receptor, thereby neutralising IFN-γ activity. IFNγ is the pivotal cytokine of T helper 1 responses, activating macrophages and endothelial cells, and is therefore associated with pathologies such as Psoriasis, Crohn’s Disease, Systemic Lupus Erythematosis, Sarcoidosis, Giant Cell Arteritis, other vascular inflammations and Multiple Sclerosis.
